Who we are!
We’re a local family from St Columb Major who absolutely adore dogs and the outdoors.
After visiting a few secure dog‑walking fields around Cornwall with our own four‑legged friends, we realised how brilliant these spaces are and how handy it would be to have one right here on our doorstep. So, we decided to create a relaxed, safe, and easy‑to‑use space for the community. A place where dogs can run free, owners can unwind, and everyone can enjoy a bit of fresh Cornish air without any stress.
We’re proud to bring this new facility to the town and hope it becomes a spot that locals love as much as we do.
Why Park Ki? It's Cornish for Dog Park and 'Ki' is pronounced 'kee'.

Why use a secure paddock?
Many dog owners love using secure paddocks because they offer a safe, stress‑free space for dogs to run, play, and explore at their own pace. Whether you’ve got a bouncy puppy still learning recall, a rescue dog who needs a bit of confidence, or a lively breed that just wants a good sprint, a private field gives them the freedom to enjoy themselves without distractions.
It’s a chance for dogs to be dogs; off the lead, ears flapping, tails going wild.
They’re also a great option for owners who want a calm, relaxed walk without worrying about livestock or unexpected encounters with other dogs. Some people use paddocks to practise training, others simply enjoy having a private spot where they can let their dog burn off energy safely. Whatever the reason, secure fields have become a favorite for many families, especially those who want a reliable space they can trust.

We also run friendly social sessions for dogs whose temperaments are suited to mixing with others. These relaxed meet‑ups give dogs the chance to build confidence, practise good manners, and enjoy a bit of playful company in a controlled environment. For many owners, it’s a lovely way to help their dogs socialise without the unpredictability of busy public spaces and a great opportunity to meet other local dog lovers too.

Our Vision moving forward.

We’re really excited about the future of the paddock and have plenty of ideas for how we’d love to develop the space. Our goal is to keep reinvesting in the field so it becomes an even better place for dogs and their owners; whether that means adding new features, improving the layout, or creating extra facilities that make visits smoother and more enjoyable. We want the paddock to grow with the community and become a spot people genuinely look forward to using.

As we develop, we’d also love to build connections with local professionals. It would be fantastic to welcome regular dog trainers and professional dog walkers who could use the space and have their services featured on our website and social pages. Creating a little hub where owners can discover trusted local experts feels like a natural next step, and we’re excited about the possibilities it could bring for everyone involved.
